Does more age mean more makeup? Definitely not. As our skin starts to show the signs of age, our makeup should be appropriate to aging as well.
Because women past 50 have more lines and wrinkles, makeup fillers such as mica, pearl and others fall into the lines and wrinkles making them more apparent.
The powder formulations that contain pigment can also have an adverse effect because as women age color begins to fade. Therefore highly pigmented make up can give you that "clown" look, especially for a more experienced woman.
Another option to consider is soft tissue fillers, such as Restylane, which fill the skin underneath and smooth the surface. View video on Restylane injections >>
